Summary

This study tested the safety of an experimental drug called RNS60 in 83 people having a severe stroke caused by a large blood clot. Participants received either a low or high dose of RNS60 or a placebo (salt water) as a 48-hour IV drip, starting right before a procedure to remove the clot. The main goal was to see if RNS60 caused serious side effects, and researchers also tracked how many people were alive 90 days later.
