Blood clot marker study: are the numbers stable month to month?
NCT ID NCT01559207
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two blood markers—nucleosomes and free DNA—stay consistent over time in healthy people and in patients who have had a blood clot (venous thromboembolism). Researchers took monthly blood samples from 15 healthy volunteers and 15 patients for six months. The goal was to see how much these markers change naturally, which helps doctors know if a single measurement is reliable.
