First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether giving rent subsidies plus a special coaching program helps young people (ages 16-24) who recently left homelessness stay stable. 40 youth in Ontario, Canada, all got rent help; half also got a coach and a guide to build confidence and life skills. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and helpful for long-term housing and well-being.
