Stem cells or surgery? new study tackles chronic back pain
NCT ID NCT07338877
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at two treatments for long-term low back pain caused by damaged spinal discs: a type of keyhole surgery (endoscopic discectomy) and a treatment using the patient's own stem cells. About 120 adults with confirmed disc pain will be followed to see which approach better reduces pain and improves daily function. The goal is to find safer, more effective ways to manage this common condition.
