Smart scale trial aims to catch chemo problems early

NCT ID NCT06133426

Summary

This study is testing whether a smart scale that patients use at home can help doctors remotely monitor adults with lymphoma or myeloma who are getting chemotherapy. For about 7 weeks, 30 patients will weigh themselves daily. The scale sends data to the medical team, who can get alerts for concerning changes like sudden weight shifts, potentially allowing for earlier treatment. The study will also ask patients how easy the scale was to use and track if the alerts led to changes in care.
