Can wearable sensors improve end-of-life care for cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT07512505
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study is testing whether wearable devices that track heart rate and other vital signs can help doctors spot infections earlier and better predict how long a person with advanced cancer has to live. About 120 hospice patients will wear a small ECG patch while receiving standard end-of-life care. The goal is to learn if remote monitoring can improve comfort and care decisions, not to treat or cure the disease.
