Video calls fight loneliness for isolated dementia residents
NCT ID NCT07182019
Summary
This study is testing a program called 'Connecting Today' that helps people with moderate to severe dementia living in nursing homes have video calls with their family and friends. The goal is to see if these facilitated weekly calls can reduce feelings of loneliness and improve quality of life for both the residents and their remote visitors. Researchers will enroll 80 residents and their loved ones from four care homes to try the six-week program and measure its effects.
