First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether a home-based mindfulness exercise program, combined with health coaching over the phone, can reduce fatigue and improve quality of life in people aged 65 and older with multiple myeloma. Participants will do gentle physical activities at home while being monitored remotely and receiving coaching calls. The goal is to see if this approach helps manage the high symptom burden common in older myeloma patients.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
home-based mindfulness physical activity program with telephone health coaching
What this could lead to
If successful, this program could offer a practical, non-drug way to reduce fatigue and improve daily life for older adults with multiple myeloma.
What could go wrong
This is a very small early study (25 participants) with no control group, so results may not apply broadly. The program requires motivation and may not help everyone.
