Smartphone alerts aim to stop cancer patients from falling

NCT ID NCT05330104

Summary

This study tested whether using a smartphone app to regularly check for early symptoms of nerve damage from chemotherapy could help predict and prevent falls. Researchers tracked 12 cancer patients receiving specific chemo drugs to see if their reported symptoms could signal an increased risk of falling. The goal was to find a way to spot problems early so patients could get help to stay safe and continue their life-saving treatment.
