Wrist wearable tested for heart monitoring in cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT03838627

First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This pilot study looked at whether a commercial wrist monitor (WHOOP) can reliably measure resting heart rate and heart rate variability in adult survivors of childhood Hodgkin lymphoma who had chest radiation. About 34 participants wore the device at home and also had in-office measurements to compare accuracy. The goal was to see if remote monitoring is feasible and agrees with standard equipment, which could help track heart health more easily in the future.
