Smart alerts vs. standard checkups: which keeps heart devices safer?

Summary

This study aims to find out if a new remote alert system for pacemakers and defibrillators is safer and more effective than the current standard of care. It will involve 3,000 adults who already have a wireless heart device and are enrolled in remote monitoring. Patients will be randomly assigned to receive either care based on device alerts or care based on current medical guidelines.
