Arm squeeze for strength? new study aims to help seniors move better

NCT ID NCT06476288

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple technique called remote ischemic conditioning (RIC)—briefly squeezing and releasing blood flow in the arm with a cuff—is practical and acceptable when added to exercise for adults over 65 who have trouble with mobility. The main goal is to see if people can stick with the combined program. Researchers hope RIC might help improve strength, exercise capacity, and overall resilience to stress.
