First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a newer sedative drug called remimazolam, combined with a painkiller, is safer than the standard anesthesia for chest surgery. About 50 adults having elective chest surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the new or standard anesthesia. The main goal is to see if the new approach reduces dangerous drops in oxygen and blood pressure during the operation.
