Laser zaps recurrent brain tumors in new trial

NCT ID NCT05124912

First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study is for people whose brain tumors (from cancers elsewhere in the body) have grown back after radiation. It tests whether a laser treatment called LITT, with or without repeat radiation, can control the tumor better than standard care. About 261 participants will be followed to see how long they stay tumor-free and how quickly they can stop using steroids.
