Less water, healthier lungs? new trial for preterm infants

Summary
This study tests if giving less fluid (135 mL per kg per day) compared to standard fluid amounts (165 mL per kg per day) can prevent a serious lung condition called bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in very premature babies (born before 30 weeks). The trial will include 750 infants across multiple hospitals. The goal is to see if a simple change in fluid management starting at day 8 of life can reduce BPD or death.
