One tiny device could replace weeks of pain pills after surgery

NCT ID NCT07336355

Summary

This study aimed to test a new device called RELAY for managing pain after knee surgery. The device is a single catheter placed near a nerve that can first deliver numbing medicine and then provide weeks of pain relief using gentle electrical stimulation. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce the need for opioid painkillers and provide longer-lasting comfort after surgery.
