Mind over pain: can simple relaxation ease recovery after major lung surgery?
NCT ID NCT07430176
Summary
This study aims to see if two simple relaxation techniques can help people feel better after lung surgery. Researchers will teach 160 patients who have had part of a lung removed either the Benson relaxation method or progressive muscle relaxation exercises. The main goal is to find out if these techniques can reduce post-surgery pain and help patients sleep better during recovery.
