High-Tech glasses aim to calm ICU patients during scary procedures

NCT ID NCT07013877

Summary

This study is testing whether wearing special 'RELAX' glasses can help reduce anxiety in intensive care patients during painful or uncomfortable medical procedures. Researchers will compare anxiety levels in 456 patients who either wear the glasses or receive standard care during things like IV placement or catheter insertion. The goal is to find a drug-free way to ease patient distress and potentially improve recovery.
