Reiki shows promise for easing cancer pain and fatigue

NCT ID NCT06354049

First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether Reiki, a gentle hands-on energy therapy, could help cancer patients manage symptoms like pain and fatigue. Ten adults with cancer who had at least three moderate-to-severe symptoms received six Reiki sessions. The main goal was to see if the approach was practical and acceptable, not to prove it works. Early results suggest patients found it helpful, but larger studies are needed.
