First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether a structured rehabilitation program can delay or prevent degeneration of the spine near the surgery site in frail adults aged 75 and older who have had short-segment lumbar fusion. About 212 participants will be randomly assigned to either the rehab program or standard care and followed for two years. The goal is to see if the program reduces the need for additional treatments or surgeries.
