NCT ID NCT04781192
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether combining two drugs—regorafenib (a targeted therapy) and durvalumab (an immunotherapy)—can help people with advanced biliary tract cancer that has stopped responding to chemotherapy. About 40 participants will receive both drugs to see if the combination is safe and can slow cancer growth. The goal is to find a new treatment option for this difficult-to-treat cancer.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
regorafenib and durvalumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced biliary tract cancer who have run out of standard chemotherapy options.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 40 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug combination may cause significant side effects and may not improve survival.
