Early trial halted for rare blood disease treatment
NCT ID NCT04409080
Summary
This early-stage study tested an experimental antibody called REGN7257 in people with severe aplastic anemia, a serious bone marrow disease where the body stops making enough blood cells. The trial focused on patients whose disease did not respond to or came back after standard immune-suppressing treatments. The main goals were to check the drug's safety, how it behaves in the body, and whether it could help increase patients' blood counts and reduce their need for blood transfusions.
