NCT ID NCT07239830
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study aims to establish normal levels of immune markers called interferons in healthy adults aged 80 and older. By measuring these markers in the nose and blood of uninfected seniors, researchers hope to improve the accuracy of viral infection tests for older people. The study involves 62 participants and will help distinguish active infections from past ones, especially in aging immune systems.
