Summary
This study tests whether sharing genetic test results with Veterans who have high cholesterol can help them feel more confident about taking statins. Many Veterans avoid statins due to fear of side effects or doubts about benefits. By showing each person their unique genetic risks and benefits, the study aims to improve statin use and lower cholesterol over 15 months.
