NCT ID NCT05659576

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called sucralfate can prevent or reduce painful swallowing (radiation esophagitis) in lung cancer patients receiving chest radiation. It will enroll 142 adults to see if the drug helps patients avoid needing strong opioid painkillers. The trial also compares two different methods of explaining the study to patients during the consent process.
