New study aims to close Black-White maternal health gap with data and doulas

Summary
This study looks at whether giving doctors data on their own biases and providing doula support to Black pregnant patients can reduce the number of low-birthweight babies. About 60,000 patients from 39 clinics in North Carolina will take part. The goal is to see if these tools help make pregnancy care more fair and improve health outcomes for Black mothers and their babies.
