Summary
This study looks at whether adjusting the default prescription length for proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) in the electronic health record can reduce overprescribing. About 372 UCLA Health primary care doctors will participate, and the study will track how many extra pill days are prescribed. The goal is to align prescribing with best practices while keeping doctors in control.
