First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether using air purifiers at home could lower blood pressure in seniors aged 60 and older living in a single apartment building. Over 4 weeks, 52 participants used either a real or fake air purifier. The goal was to see if cleaner indoor air reduces the heart risks linked to fine particle pollution. Results focused on changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
