Ice or compression gloves may shield breast cancer patients from nerve pain

NCT ID NCT07638774

First seen Jun 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether wearing compression or ice gloves and socks can reduce nerve damage caused by the chemotherapy drug UTD1 in people with advanced breast cancer. About 324 participants will be randomly assigned to wear compression gloves/socks, ice gloves/socks, or no special gear during treatment. The goal is to see if these simple, non-drug methods can prevent or lessen numbness, tingling, and weakness in hands and feet.
