Doctors test simple call to close health gap for minority seniors
NCT ID NCT06996366
Summary
This study tested whether a simple outreach effort from a primary care clinic could help more Medicare patients, especially those who are Black, Latino, or have unmet social needs, get their recommended Annual Wellness Visit. Researchers worked with two clinics to contact patients who were overdue for this preventive check-up. The goal was to see if a direct invitation could reduce racial and ethnic disparities in who receives this important health service.
