First seen May 13, 2026 ยท Last updated May 13, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether simple electronic reminders (called nudges) can help doctors reduce high-risk medication use in older adults, especially those with dementia. About 786 patients from primary care clinics will take part, and clinics are randomly assigned to receive different types of nudges. The goal is to see if these nudges lower the number of risky medications and improve patient safety.
