Can a stop-smoking drug help parkinson patients stop falling?

Summary

This study tests whether the drug varenicline can reduce falls and improve the ability to walk while doing another task in people with Parkinson disease. About 102 participants will receive either varenicline or a placebo for one year. The study uses walking tests, brain imaging, and fall diaries to measure results.
