New study aims to cut blood transfusions in kidney cancer surgery

Summary

This study looks at ways to reduce the need for blood transfusions during surgery for advanced kidney cancer. About 240 adults with large kidney tumors will be enrolled. The goal is to see if using special blood-saving techniques can lower the number of transfusions needed and improve recovery.
