Summary
This study is testing whether it's safe to stop antibiotics early in elderly patients hospitalized with viral lung infections. Researchers want to see if reducing unnecessary antibiotic use leads to fewer side effects and similar recovery outcomes. The trial involves 256 patients aged 65+ who are hospitalized with respiratory symptoms and have confirmed viral infections.
