Hospitals tackle operating room trash: can education cut waste?
NCT ID NCT06680284
Summary
This study aims to understand how much waste is created by anesthesia teams during surgery and what can be done about it. Researchers will first measure the trash from 60 surgical cases, then run an education program for staff on reducing, reusing, and recycling. Finally, they will measure the trash again to see if the training helped change habits and reduce waste.
