Second chance heart valve: study tests fix for Worn-Out keyhole implants

Summary

This study aims to understand the best way to treat patients when a previously implanted keyhole heart valve fails. It will follow 550 patients who receive a second keyhole valve inside the old one, have open-heart surgery, or receive medication only. The goal is to document short and long-term results to help doctors choose the safest, most effective treatment.
