Can your gut tell if red meat is bad for your heart?

NCT ID NCT07322575

Summary

This study aims to understand why red meat raises heart disease risk more in some people than others. Researchers will test if a specific gene in a person's gut bacteria can predict how much of a harmful substance (TMAO) their body makes after eating a large amount of beef. 65 healthy adults will eat beef, provide stool and blood samples, and track their diet to help answer this question.
