First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at how red blood cells (RBCs) from people with type 2 diabetes may harm the heart and blood vessels. Researchers will compare RBCs from 500 participants (healthy, with diabetes, or after a heart attack) in lab tests to understand the damage. The goal is to find new ways to treat or prevent heart problems by targeting RBC function.
