Summary

This study tested if adding a rectus sheath block (a nerve block) to general anesthesia helps control pain after abdominal surgery. 46 adults having a midline incision were randomly assigned to get either general anesthesia alone or with the block. Researchers measured pain scores, opioid use, and inflammation markers for 24 hours after surgery.
