Summary
This study tests whether giving ozone gas through the rectum can protect the brain and reduce damage in children who have suffered a brain injury from events like trauma, infection, or lack of oxygen. About 120 children aged 1 month to 18 years in the pediatric ICU will receive the treatment. The main goal is to see if it improves muscle stiffness and reduces brain inflammation.
