New Triple-Therapy combo tested in fight against rectal cancer

NCT ID NCT07154316

Summary

This study is testing two different radiation treatment schedules, both combined with chemotherapy, an immunotherapy drug, and an anti-inflammatory pill, for people with a specific type of locally advanced rectal cancer. The goal is to see which combination is better at completely eliminating the tumor and preserving the anus, avoiding major surgery. Researchers will also track side effects and how long patients live without the cancer returning.
