Gut bacteria boost for rectal cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07458529

Summary

This study is testing if adding a specific probiotic supplement (Probio-M9) to a standard treatment plan improves results for people with locally advanced rectal cancer. All participants will receive chemotherapy, radiation, and an immunotherapy drug (tislelizumab). Researchers will compare outcomes between those who also take the probiotic and those who take a placebo. The goal is to see if the probiotic helps the body respond better to treatment and improves survival.
