Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of short radiation therapy and chemotherapy can completely eliminate rectal cancer tumors, allowing patients to avoid major surgery. Researchers are enrolling 63 adults with early to mid-stage rectal cancer to see if this approach reliably makes tumors disappear. The goal is to validate a promising treatment that could preserve organ function and improve quality of life.
