Stronger chemo before surgery: a new attack on rectal cancer

NCT ID NCT05358704

Summary

This study is testing if a more intensive combination of chemotherapy drugs and radiation, given before surgery, can better shrink or eliminate rectal tumors. It is for adults with a specific stage of rectal cancer who have not had prior treatment for it. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and leads to more patients having no detectable cancer left after treatment.
