Study digs into which cancer treatments lead to fewer surgery complications

NCT ID NCT07346248

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to compare how often patients experience complications after surgery for rectal cancer, depending on which pre-surgery treatment they received. Researchers will analyze data from 266 adults who had different combinations of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery between 2016 and 2025. The goal is to understand which treatment approach might lead to fewer problems after surgery, especially for older patients.
