This study tests a weekly injection called pemvidutide to see if it can reduce heavy drinking in adults with alcohol use disorder who are also overweight or obese. About 100 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks. The main goal is to measure the change in the number of heavy drinking days per week.
