Heart plug study: can a tiny device stop deadly strokes?
NCT ID NCT05997446
Summary
This study is observing how well a small, plug-like device works in real-world patients to prevent strokes. The device is implanted in the heart to seal off an area where dangerous blood clots can form in people with a common heart rhythm problem. Researchers are following over 600 patients for two years to see how safe and effective the device is outside of a controlled trial setting.
