New ultrasound gadget aims to end failed epidurals

Summary
This study tests a new ultrasound device (Accuro 3S) that helps doctors see the spine in real time during epidural or spinal anesthesia. The goal is to reduce the number of needle sticks needed and prevent failed pain blocks. About 100 adults getting epidurals for labor or spinal anesthesia will take part. The device is not yet proven, and the study focuses on collecting data to improve the technology.
