Can blood tests and scans track lymphoma in real time? new study aims to find out.
NCT ID NCT07514715
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will test whether doctors can quickly and accurately monitor minimal residual disease (tiny amounts of cancer left after treatment) in people with aggressive B-cell lymphoma. Researchers will use blood tests to look for tumor DNA and PET scans to see if results can be delivered within strict time limits. The goal is to see if this real-time monitoring approach is feasible, not to test a new treatment. About 129 participants will be enrolled.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- blood test for ctDNA analysis
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could enable doctors to track cancer more accurately during treatment, potentially leading to better-tailored therapies.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early feasibility study, not testing a new treatment. It may show that real-time monitoring is not practical or does not improve outcomes.
