Summary
This study tested a new computer method to check insulin resistance in real time for very sick patients in the ICU. Researchers used continuous glucose monitors to track blood sugar changes and built an algorithm to measure insulin resistance without invasive tests. The study included 179 adults and looked at how this new measure relates to patient outcomes like ICU death and blood sugar highs and lows.
